RemarquesThis is a second and third-hand report. It was too good to not get it to you. Another observer 20 miles north saw a flash descending downward. With a time between flash and boom of 10-12 seconds, it was about two miles from either observer locally. I have only the second-hand information of the 20-mile-distant individual that it terminated short of his location. Unfortunately, I was asleep at the time of the best fireball I've heard of in this area. If there are questions, I can probably get the actual observers involved, plus there was a front-porch security cam that caught it (2-3 seconds full view) over a Grand Rapids, Michigan suburb, and was reported by the meteorologist for channel 8 in that area.
