RemarquesI was outside looking at Venus when this grabbed my attention. I love to watch the sky and am 49. This was the 4th actual fireball that I have seen in my lifetime. This one came and went quite quickly. So cool!

ObservationYes
RemarquesI noticed the green glow began relatively slowly through a very thin cloud layer that was barely noticeable until the glow began. Then the streak got very bright very bright for a little less than 1 second and looked like it expanded into a green ball that then had a few tiny tiny pieces before it disappeared completely. The whole event took about 2.5 to 3 seconds.
Fragmentation
ObservationOui
RemarquesGreen ball that had a small number (5-8) of very tiny pieces (each about the size of a typical meteor streak during a meteor shower) splinter off from the main streak/ball for a split second and then disappeared with the meteor.
